Wang lost 7-6 to Italy's Diana Gaspari where Wang responded with a 7-5 win over Germany's Andrea Schoepp. Wang won 6-4 against Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson, then won 9-5 against Erika Brown (Madison, USA) and 7-3 against Latvia's Iveta Stasa-Sarsune. Wang went on to lose 7-4 against Rachel Homan (Ottawa, CAN). Wang lost 10-6 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Nagano, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Wang earned 8.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 100.450 total points. Wang ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 38.125 points earned so far this season.
