Muirhead finished 10-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Rachel Homan (Ottawa, CAN) 6-4, then went on to lose 11-2 against Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson. Muirhead responded with a 9-2 win over Germany's Andrea Schoepp. Muirhead won 8-5 against Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN), then won 8-3 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Nagano, JPN) and 11-4 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). Muirhead won 9-5 against Latvia's Iveta Stasa-Sarsune, then won 8-6 against Denmark's Lene Nielsen and 8-4 against Italy's Diana Gaspari. Muirhead won 9-2 against Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS), then won 8-4 against Erika Brown (Madison, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Titlis Glacier Mountain World Women's Curling Championship Championship title, Muirhead earned 45.000 world rankings points.
