Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) won 7-3 over Cathy Auld (Mississauga, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Scotties, held January 21 - 27, 2013 in Waterloo, Ontario.

Homan finished 9-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON) 5-4, then won 10-1 against Jill Mouzar (Toronto, ON) and 5-2 against Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, ON). Homan won 9-6 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON), then won 9-1 against Jacqueline Harrison (Waterdown, ON) and 7-5 against Marlo Dahl (Thunder Bay, ON). Homan won 6-3 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 8-4 against Auld and 6-2 against Kendra Lilly (North Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Ontario Scotties Championship title, Homan earned 14.400 world rankings points, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 10th place overall with 185.006 total points. Homan ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 141.811 points earned so far this season.
