Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) won 8-2 over Colin Thomas (St. John's, NL) in the Final of the NL Provincials Mens Curling Championship, held February 5 - 10, 2013 in St. Johns, Newfoundland / Labrador.
 
Gushue finished 7-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Jeff Thomas (St. John's, NL) 10-3, then won 9-5 against Shawn Adams (St. John's, NL) and 5-4 against Keith Ryan (Labrador City, NL). Gushue won 9-2 against Brian Mercer (Labrador City, NL), then won 7-5 against Thomas and 11-7 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Andrew Symonds. Gushue won 4-2 against Ken Peddigrew (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the NL Provincials Mens Curling Championship Championship title, Gushue earned 4.000 world rankings points. For week 26 of the event schedule, Gushue did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 9th place on the World Ranking Standings with 209.091 total points. Gushue ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 107.375 points earned so far this season.
