To advance to the championship game, Nix won 6-3 over Heather Smith (Halifax, NS) in the semifinals of the 2013 Nova Scotia Scotties in Halifax, Nova Scotia;
 
Nix finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Nix defeated Coralie Duchemin (Sydney, NS) 6-4, then won 9-4 against Kelly MacIntosh (Dartmouth, NS) and 7-6 against Theresa Breen (Halifax, NS). Nix won 7-6 against Marg Cutcliffe (Halifax, NS), then won 8-6 against Mary Mattatall (Halifax, NS). Nix went on to lose 9-1 against Arsenault. Nix responded with a 9-7 win over Smith in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Nova Scotia Scotties , Nix take home 2.500 world rankings points, moving up 153 spots the World Ranking Standings into 158th place overall with 2.500 total points. Nix ranks 117th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.500 points earned so far this season.
