Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) won 9-6 over Patti Knezevic (Prince George, BC) in the Final of the BC Scotties , held January 14 - 22, 2013 in Surrey, British Columbia.
Scott finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scott defeated Roberta Kuhn (Vernon, BC) 9-8, then won 6-3 against Marilou Richter (New Westminster, BC) and 8-6 against Lori Olsen (New Westminster, BC). Scott won 10-1 against Kirsten Fox (New Westminster, BC), then won 11-2 against Simone Groundwater (Williams Lake, BC). Scott went on to lose 9-7 against Allison MacInnes (Abbotsford, BC). Scott responded with a 6-4 win over Knezevic. Scott went on to lose 8-4 against Marla Mallett (Surrey, BC). Scott responded with a 8-7 win over Simone Brosseau (Victoria, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the BC Scotties Championship title, Scott earned 4.000 world rankings points. For week 24 of the event schedule, Scott did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Scott ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
