Currie lost 9-4 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) where Currie responded with a 8-2 win over Matt Dumontelle (New Liskeard, NONT). Currie went on to lose 5-2 against Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
