Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) won 9-8 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Victoria Curling Classic, held March 21 - 24, 2013 in Victoria, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Edin won 6-1 over Jeff Stoughton (winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Victoria Curling Classic in Victoria, British Columbia; and won 7-5 over Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Edin finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) 7-4, then won 4-2 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) and 7-5 against McEwen in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Victoria Curling Classic Championship title, Edin earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $25,000CDN first prize cheque. Edin move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 33.6 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 5th overall with 360.025 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Edin ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 168.250 points earned so far this season.
