To advance to the championship game, Steuber won 5-1 over Chana Martineau (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Spruce Grove Cashspiel in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada; and won 5-3 over Lindsay Makichuk (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Spruce Grove Cashspiel in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada;
 
Steuber finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Steuber defeated Brittany Gregor (Calgary, AB) 11-0, then won 6-4 against Whyte and 5-2 against Tiffany Game (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Spruce Grove Cashspiel Championship title, Steuber earned 4.100 world rankings points along with the $2,100CDN first prize cheque, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 62nd place overall with 16.570 total points. Steuber ranks 72nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.100 points earned so far this season.
