Teryn Hamilton (Lethbridge, AB) qualified for the 2012 Spruce Grove Cashspiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-3 against Holly Whyte (Edmonton, AB).

Hamilton finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hamilton defeated Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) 7-2, then went on to lose 7-5 against Lindsay Makichuk (Edmonton, AB). Hamilton responded with a 8-4 win over Alberta's Candace Read in their final qualifying round match.

Hamilton earned 1.230 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Spruce Grove Cashspiel, moving up 22 spots the World Ranking Standings into 155th place overall with 2.368 total points. Hamilton ranks 104th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.055 points earned so far this season.
