Les Rogers (Edmonton, AB) won 6-3 over Greg Keith (Spruce Grove, AB) in the Final of the Spruce Grove Cashspiel, held November 23 - 25, 2012 at the Spruce Grove Curling Club in Spruce Grove, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Rogers won 5-4 over Shawn Donnelly (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Spruce Grove Cashspiel in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada; and won 5-4 over Wade White (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals.
Rogers finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rogers lost 6-3 to Curtis Harrish (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 9-5 win over Greg Hill (Airdrie, AB). Rogers won 4-3 against Glen Hanson (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Spruce Grove Cashspiel Championship title, Rogers earned 2.750 world rankings points along with the $2,100CDN first prize cheque. For week 15 of the event schedule, Rogers did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rogers ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
