Eddie MacKenzie (Charlottetown, PEI) finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacKenzie lost 7-6 to Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 7-2 win over Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB). MacKenzie won 9-6 against Ken Peddigrew (St. John's, NL), then won 6-5 against Mark Dacey (Halifax, NS) and 6-4 against Chad Stevens (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curl Atlantic Championship Championship title, MacKenzie earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 40th place overall with 28.425 total points. MacKenzie ranks 33rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.750 points earned so far this season.
