Mary Jane McGuire (Fredericton, NB) qualified for the 2012 Lady Monctonian Invitational playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-1 against Suzanne Birt (Charlottetown, PEI). of the 2012 Lady Monctonian Invitational in Moncton, New Brunswick;

McGuire finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McGuire lost 6-4 to Theresa Breen (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 6-2 win over Kathy O'Rourke (Charlottetown, PEI). McGuire won 8-4 against Courtney Smith (Halifax, NS), then won 7-3 against Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

McGuire earned 0.750 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Lady Monctonian Invitational, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 128th place overall with 3.500 total points.
