Glen Muirhead (Perth, SCO) qualified for the 2012 Stirling Invitational playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-2 against Scotland's Frazer Hare. of the 2012 Stirling Invitational in Stirling, Scotland;

In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Ewan MacDonald (Perth, SCO) 6-5, then won 4-3 against Scotland's Stuart Taylor and 7-2 against Mark Neeleman (Zoetemeer, NED). Muirhead won 6-4 against Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO), then won 6-2 against Scotland's Daryl Russell in their final qualifying round match.
