Warwick Smith (Perth, SCO) won 5-4 over Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO) in the Final of the Stirling Invitational, held November 30 - December 2, 2012 in Stirling, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Smith won 5-1 over David Edwards (Aberdeen, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2012 Stirling Invitational in Stirling, Scotland; and won 5-3 over Hammy McMillan (Stranraer, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Stirling Invitational in Stirling, Scotland;
 
Smith finished 5-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Hardie 3-1, then won 6-3 against Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) and 7-2 against Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB). Smith won 7-1 against Graeme Black (Perth, SCO), then won 6-3 against Scotland's Bruce Mouat in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Stirling Invitational Championship title, Smith earned 5.600 world rankings points along with the $3,204CDN first prize cheque, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 74th place overall with 22.281 total points. Smith ranks 103rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.600 points earned so far this season.
