Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI) is set to play Michel in the Final Michel advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the EM Trials, held October 17 - 21, 2012 in Biel, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Michel won 6-2 over Switzerland's Pascal Hess in the semifinals of the 2013 EM Trials in Biel, Switzerland;

Michel finished 5-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Michel defeated Claudio Pescia (Geneve, SUI) 6-4, then went on to lose 6-4 against Switzerland's Pascal Hess. Michel responded with a 5-4 win over Switzerland's Pascal Hess. Michel won 5-3 against Pescia, then won 5-4 against Pescia and 5-3 against Switzerland's Pascal Hess in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the EM Trials Championship title, Michel earned 0.000 world rankings points. For week 10 of the event schedule, Michel did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 10th to 11th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 130.025 total points. Michel ranks 8th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 43.010 points earned so far this season.
