In their opening game, Fordyce defeated Amanda Tymchuk (Winnipeg, MB) 9-6, then won 10-6 against Michelle Montford (Winnipeg, MB) and 6-5 against DeRiviere. Fordyce won 7-5 against Deb Collyer (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
