Kurt Balderston (Grande Prairie, AB) won 9-6 over Daylan Vavrek (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Grande Prairie Cash: Competitive Division, held October 26 - 28, 2012 in Grande Prairie, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Balderston won 8-4 over Graham Powell (Grande Prairie, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Grande Prairie Cash: Competitive Division in Grande Prairie, Alberta; and won 7-2 over Kristie Moore (Grande Prairie, AB) in the quarterfinals.
 
Balderston finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Balderston defeated Glen Godberson (Fort St. John, BC) 8-4, then won 9-2 against Moore and 7-1 against Mark Pillsworth (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
