Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) won 8-5 over Margaretha Sigfridsson (Skelleftea, SWE) in the Final of the Players' Championship, held April 16 - 21, 2013 in Toronto, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Muirhead won 6-5 over Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2013 Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario; and won 8-6 over Renee Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Players' Championship in Toronto, Ontario;

Muirhead finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Muirhead lost 5-4 to Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI), then responded with a 6-4 win over Shannon Kleibrink (Calgary, AB). Muirhead went on to lose 7-5 against Lawton. Muirhead responded with a 8-6 win over Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RCF) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Players' Championship Championship title, Muirhead earned 45.000 world rankings points along with the $23,000CDN first prize cheque. Muirhead move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 41.989 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 302.580 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Muirhead ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 189.095 points earned so far this season.
