Kurt Balderston (Grande Prairie, AB) won 3-1 over Jordan Steinke (Dawson Creek, BC) in the Final of the Fort St. John Competitive, held November 9 - 11, 2012 in Fort St. John, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Balderston won 4-3 over Graham Powell (Grande Prairie, AB) in the semifinals of the 2012 Fort St. John Competitive in Fort St. John, British Columbia; and won 8-2 over Doug McLeod (Fort St. John, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 Fort St. John Competitive in Fort St. John, British Columbia;
 
Balderston finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Balderston defeated McLeod 9-3, then won 5-2 against Steinke. Balderston went on to lose 3-2 against Powell. Balderston responded with a 6-0 win over Colin Griffith (Grande Prairie, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
