To advance to the championship game, Sallows won 7-2 over Bob Cooper (Fort St. John, BC) in the semifinals of the 2012 Mile Zero Cash Spiel: Challenge in Dawson Creek, British Columbia; and won 9-1 over Colette Trudeau (Grande Prairie, AB) in the quarterfinals.
Sallows finished 3-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sallows defeated Marlene Maxwell (Dawson Creek, BC) 8-5, then won 10-3 against Mark Luckwell (Grande Prairie, AB) and 8-4 against Burkitt in their final qualifying round match.
