Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) won 6-2 over Scott Ramsay (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the MCT Championships, held December 6 - 9, 2012 in Beausejour, Manitoba. To advance to the championship game, Grassie won 8-4 over Bob Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2012 MCT Championships in Beausejour, Manitoba; and won 7-4 over Steen Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2012 MCT Championships in Beausejour, Manitoba;
 
Grassie finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grassie defeated Rob Van Kommer (Carberry, MB) 7-6, then won 6-2 against Kyle Foster (Arborg, MB). Grassie went on to lose 5-4 against William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB). Grassie responded with a 5-0 win over Daley Peters (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the MCT Championships Championship title, Grassie earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 49th place overall with 32.916 total points. Grassie ranks 79th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.966 points earned so far this season.
