Lyburn finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lyburn defeated David Kraichy (Winnipeg, MB) 4-0, then won 7-4 against Randy Dutiaume (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-4 against Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Lyburn earned 1.250 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the MCT Championships, remaining in 23rd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 82.209 total points. Lyburn ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 50.625 points earned so far this season.
