In their opening game, Jukich defeated Gary Mazzotta (Minneapolis, MN) 7-4, then went on to lose 9-6 against Michael Floerchinger (Princeton, MN). Jukich responded with a 11-1 win over Danielle Buchbinder (Rochester, NY). Jukich won 7-0 against Barry Ivy (Livermore, CA) in their final qualifying round match.
