Corbett responded with a 9-5 win over Stu Cohen (Columbus, OH). Corbett won 8-7 against Steve Birklid (Seattle, WA), then won 10-2 against Tyler Runing (Mankato, MN) and 8-6 against Kevin Kakela (Rolla, ND). Corbett went on to lose 9-8 against Sampson in their final qualifying round match.
