Kaatz finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaatz defeated Jennifer Curle (Minnedosa, MB) 7-3, then won 11-3 against Jesse Iles (The Pas, MB) and 9-1 against Raina Syrnyk (Gilbert Plains, MB). Kaatz won 6-3 against Abby Ackland (Victoria Beach, MB), then won 8-5 against Christine MacKay (Winnipeg, MB). Kaatz went on to lose 7-5 against Beth Peterson (Victoria Beach, MB). Kaatz responded with a 8-3 win over Rachel Burtnyk (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
