Kenton Maschmeyer (Edmonton, AB) run at the AJCT Junior Men's Slam came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-2 loss to Scott Smith (Calgary, AB). of the AJCT Junior Men's Slam in Lacombe, Alberta; Maschmeyer advanced through the quarterfinals with a 6-1 win over Cole Parsons (Nanton, AB). of the AJCT Junior Men's Slam in Lacombe, Alberta;
 
Maschmeyer finished 4-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Maschmeyer defeated Brendin Serna (Edmonton, AB) 5-3, then went on to lose 8-4 against Parsons. Maschmeyer lost 6-5 to Mitchell Young (Whitehorse, YK) where Maschmeyer responded with a 5-1 win over Shane Parcels (Red Deer, AB). Maschmeyer won 8-6 against Young, then won 8-3 against 's Colton Goller in their final qualifying round match.
