Birr lost 8-5 to Tyler George (Duluth, MN) where Birr responded with a 7-3 win over Brady Clark (Seattle, WA). Birr went on to lose 8-5 against Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Birr responded with a 8-6 win over Ryan Lemke (Medford, WI) in their final qualifying round match.

Birr earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 65th place overall with 27.669 total points. Birr ranks 68th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 13.775 points earned so far this season.
