In their opening game, Minnesota's Cory Christensen defeated Washington's Shelby Sweet 13-2, then won 6-5 against North Dakota's Emily Brekke and 10-2 against Michigan's Alexis Schroeder. Minnesota's Cory Christensen won 10-3 against Pennsylvania's Sarah Anderson. Minnesota's Cory Christensen went on to lose 7-1 against Wisconsin's Jenna Haag. Minnesota's Cory Christensen responded with a 10-5 win over New York's Hannah Ely.
