In their opening game, Massachusetts's Korey Dropkin defeated Colorado's Preston Kramer 14-2, then won 9-3 against Michigan's Wesley Pedersen. Massachusetts's Korey Dropkin went on to lose 8-7 against Pennsylvania's Scott Dunnam. Massachusetts's Korey Dropkin responded with a 7-2 win over Washington's Jake Vukich. Massachusetts's Korey Dropkin won 8-2 against North Dakota's Timothy Hodek, then won 7-4 against Alaska's Ryan Flippo and 8-4 against Minnesota's Tony Wright.
