O'Leary won 11-0 against Janice Langanke (Plainfield, NJ), then won 12-1 against Brenda Mason (Midland, MI) and 7-6 against Lori Karst (Madison, WI). O'Leary went on to lose 7-6 against Em Good (Seattle, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
