8-4 to Derek Surka (New Haven, CT), droppimg another game, 8-2 to Andy Jukich (St. Paul, MN). Flippo lost 8-4 to Lyle Sieg (Seattle, WA) where Flippo responded with a 6-5 win over Kelby Smith (Bismarck, ND). Flippo won 10-4 against Wesley Seeger (San Francisco, CA), then won 7-3 against Greg Wilson (Chicago, IL) and 6-4 against Dennis Mellerup (Plainfield, NJ). Flippo went on to lose 12-5 against Fred Maxie (Scottsdale, AZ). Flippo responded with a 10-4 win over Sean Murray (Watertown, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
