In their opening game, Ott defeated Erika Brown (Madison, WI) 5-4, then won 6-5 against Hollie Nicol (Toronto, ON) and 7-4 against Chrissy Cadorin (Thornhill, ON). Ott won 7-1 against Allison Ross (Montreal, PQ), then won 8-4 against Homan in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic Championship title, Ott earned 15.060 world rankings points along with the $6,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 10th place overall with 136.460 total points. Ott ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 15.060 points earned so far this season.
