To advance to the championship game, Yoshimura won 8-2 over Michele Jaggi (Bern, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2013 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 6-5 over Satsuki Fujisawa (Nagano, JPN) in the quarterfinals.
 
Yoshimura finished 4-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yoshimura lost 10-6 to Tiffany Game (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 8-2 win over Brett Barber (Biggar, SK). Yoshimura won 7-4 against Lisa Johnson (Spruce Grove, AB), then won 8-3 against Amy Nixon (Calgary, AB). Yoshimura went on to lose 8-4 against Sidorova. Yoshimura responded with a 7-1 win over Kelly Wood (Swift Current, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Medicine Hat Charity Classic, Yoshimura take home 6.265 world rankings points along with the $3,500CDN prize, moving up 32 spots the World Ranking Standings into 64th place overall with 12.515 total points. Yoshimura ranks 47th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.265 points earned so far this season.
