Meakin went on to lose 6-4 against Renee Sonnenberg (Grande Prairie, AB). Meakin responded with a 7-5 win over Lana Vey (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Meakin earned 18.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Colonial Square Ladies Classic, moving up 61 spots the World Ranking Standings into 49th place overall with 23.850 total points.
