Koltun lost 6-4 to Chana Martineau (Edmonton, AB) where Koltun responded with a 7-5 win over Nicky Kaufman (Edmonton, AB). Koltun went on to lose 9-4 against Leslie Rogers (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
