In their opening game, Genoway defeated Steven Andrews (Coaldale, AB) 10-3, then won 6-5 against Dean Ross (Edmonton, AB) and 13-4 against Sean O'Connor (Calgary, AB). Genoway went on to lose 6-3 against Dean Mamer (Calgary, AB). Genoway lost 6-3 to Matthew Blandford (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
