In their opening game, Koe defeated Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) 7-6, then won 7-3 against David Murdoch (Stirling, SCO) and 9-6 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL). Koe won 8-6 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishene, ON). Koe went on to lose 5-3 against Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Koe earned 20.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Players' Championship, remaining in 4th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 2 after improving upon their best so far this season. Koe ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 208.000 points earned so far this season.
