Scott Bitz (Regina, SK) qualified for the 2013 Weatherford Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2013 Weatherford Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Bitz finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bitz lost 7-4 to Joel Jordison (Regina, SK), then responded with a 7-4 win over Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB). Bitz went on to lose 6-4 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN). Bitz responded with a 3-1 win over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK). Bitz won 4-3 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Bitz earned 3.060 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Weatherford Curling Classic, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 52nd place overall with 32.490 total points. Bitz ranks 41st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 19.565 points earned so far this season.
