Bruce Korte (Saskatoon, SK) lost 5-2 to Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) in the Final of the Weatherford Curling Classic, held November 29 - December 2, 2013 at the Estevan Curling Club in Estevan, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Korte won 5-4 over Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) in the semifinals of the 2013 Weatherford Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 5-4 over Scott Bitz (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Weatherford Curling Classic in Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Korte finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Korte defeated Irwin 2-1, then won 7-4 against Jason Krupski (Regina, SK) and 5-3 against Scott Manners (North Battleford, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Weatherford Curling Classic, Korte take home 7.140 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 58th place overall with 28.585 total points. Korte ranks 66th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.535 points earned so far this season.
