Perepolkin finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Perepolkin lost 6-2 to Shane Park (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 9-6 win over Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Perepolkin won 6-3 against Wade White (Edmonton, AB), then won 5-4 against Brock Virtue (Regina, SK) and 7-4 against John Stroh (Medicine Hat, AB). Perepolkin went on to lose 6-4 against Robert Schlender (Airdrie, AB). Perepolkin responded with a 6-5 win over Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Perepolkin earned 7.900 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Red Deer Curling Classic, moving up 21 spots the World Ranking Standings into 72nd place overall with 19.542 total points.
