Ontario's Sherry Middaugh finished 4-0 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ontario's Sherry Middaugh defeated Allison Pottinger (Bemidji, MN) 6-3, then won 7-5 against Marika Bakewell (Markdale, ON) and 8-0 against Allison Ross (Montreal, QC). Ontario's Sherry Middaugh won 5-0 against Reddick in their final qualifying round match.
