In their opening game, Runing defeated Ethan Meyers (Duluth, MN) 9-2, then went on to lose 8-5 against Alex Leichter (Wayland, MA). Runing lost 7-5 to Jeremy Stubbe (Wausau, WI) where Runing responded with a 10-3 win over Tyler Vietanen (Duluth, MN). Runing went on to lose 8-6 against Adam Kitchens (Grand Forks, ND) in their final qualifying round match.
