To advance to the championship game, Jones won 8-7 over Margaretha Sigfridsson (Harnosand, SWE) in the semifinals of the 2014 Players' Championship in Summerside, Prince Edward Island; and won 7-5 over Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Players' Championship in Summerside, Prince Edward Island;
 
Jones finished 3-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jones lost 6-5 to Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI), then responded with a 9-8 win over Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON). Jones won 5-3 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB), then won 7-6 against Sigfridsson. Jones went on to lose 7-1 against Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Players' Championship Championship title, Jones earned 45.000 world rankings points along with the $23,500CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 472.800 total points. Jones ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 270.000 points earned so far this season.
