Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) lost 5-2 to Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Players' Championship, held April 15 - 20, 2014 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. To advance to the championship game, Homan won 4-3 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2014 Players' Championship in Summerside, Prince Edward Island; and won 7-5 over Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2014 Players' Championship in Summerside, Prince Edward Island;
 
Homan finished 3-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) 7-2, then won 8-1 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB). Homan went on to lose 7-4 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). Homan lost 7-2 to Lawton where Homan responded with a 7-5 win over Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Players' Championship, Homan take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $16,500CDN prize, remaining in 2nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 441.820 total points. Homan ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 216.420 points earned so far this season.
