Brown responded with a 7-0 win over Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN). Brown went on to lose 7-3 against Yilun Jiang (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Brown earned 0.950 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 79th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 8.950 total points. Brown ranks 105th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.950 points earned so far this season.
