Dean Joanisse (New Westminster, BC) lost 5-4 to Grant Dezura (Kelowna, BC) in the Final of the Kamloops Crown of Curling, held October 18 - 21, 2013 at the Kamloops Curling Club in Kamloops, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Joanisse won 6-4 over Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC) in the semifinals of the 2013 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada; and won 6-4 over Brady Clark (Lynnwood, WA) in the quarterfinals. of the 2013 Kamloops Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Joanisse finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Joanisse defeated Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC) 6-5, then won 4-2 against Brent Yamada (Kamloops, BC) and 8-2 against Steve Birklid (Seattle, WA). Joanisse went on to lose 7-6 against Nolan Reid (Victoria, BC). Joanisse responded with a 7-4 win over Dezura in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Kamloops Crown of Curling, Joanisse take home 3.500 world rankings points along with the $6,000CDN prize, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 72nd place overall with 17.649 total points. Joanisse ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.850 points earned so far this season.
