Dezura finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dezura defeated

8-3 against
Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC) and
9-2 against
Nolan Reid (Victoria, BC). Dezura won
9-7 against
Brent Yamada (Kamloops, BC). Dezura went on to lose

Joanisse in their final qualifying round match.
