Hastings finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hastings lost 6-4 to Chantal Lalonde (Woodstock, ON), then responded with a 6-5 win over Ontario's Susan McKnight. Hastings won 7-3 against Katie Morrissey (Ottawa, ON), then won 6-4 against Payne in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic Championship title, Hastings earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $2,600CDN first prize cheque, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 38th place overall with 38.068 total points.
