Van Ymeren finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Van Ymeren lost 6-3 to Daniel, then responded with a 8-4 win over Jim Brackett (Chatham, ON). Van Ymeren won 7-2 against Brian Glover (Chatham, ON), then won 4-2 against Josh Johnston (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Chatham Granite Cash Spiel, Van Ymeren take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $1,350CDN prize, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 61st place overall with 24.160 total points.
